It started in 2018 - our Ecological Assessment Initiative (EAI) project in Bahia, Brazil, where we want to investigate spatio-temporal land-use change patterns in traditional cocoa landscapes. After finishing the first hand pollination pilot study and setting up half of the required 60 plots, COVID forced us to put everything on hold.
In March, Manu went back to Brazil to finish the EAI site setup and launch the first cocoa pollinator monitoring study with our ecosystem monitoring devices. Stay tuned for some exciting results to come :D
